Mission Statement
Writer's Ink is a 501c(3) nonprofit dedicated to cultivating a lifelong love for creative writing in children and supporting aspiring young writers.. Since our early beginnings in 2014, our goal has been to redefine creative writing and English literacy education. It wasn’t too long ago when we too were young kids struggling to write. We want to give back to the community by helping others develop a life-long passion for writing. Ordinary language classes teach concept, and of course, that’s vitally important. However what sets us apart from others is that we encourage kids to use their inner creativity to make their own imaginative stories. We don't just teach them how to write—we teach them to love to write!

Sincerely,
Writer's Ink

From a young age, Sydney developed a love for reading fantasy and dystopian fiction and would spend the greater half of each day with her nose buried in a book. As she continued to read, she became obsessed with writing and has devoted many hours to exploring narrative and short prose. Her favorite genres include literary, dystopian, fantasy, and contemporary fiction. She loves to write flash fiction and longer works, and even dabbles in journalism. She joined WInk to share her passion for creative writing with other young writers and really enjoys helping kids expand their writing!
