About Us

Writer's Ink is a non-profit organization solely run by high school volunteers. Since our early beginnings in 2014, our goal has been to redefine creative writing and English literacy education.

Writing Contests

Writer's Ink runs an annual creative writing contest for students in grades 1-6! Participants have the opportunity to submit an original work to receive feedback, win cool prizes, and garner recognition for their hard work.

Summer Camp

Our annual summer camp is one of the highlights of the Writer's Ink experience. Each year, we host a week long writing camp that allows students to hone their skills and produce creative work they can keep. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have moved our camp online. Students will have the chance to attend an in-person event on the last day.

School Year Workshops

Every Saturday, we hold writing workshops on Zoom from 1:00pm - 2:00pm PST. These workshops are different from our Summer Camp and follow a curriculum that builds upon previous lessons. At the end of the year, students will have experience in writing prose, poetry, plays, scripts, and creative essays. Workshops start in November and end in May.

Thanks for submitting!
